I'm not a Vista fan by any means but what's also funny is my brother just updated his imac to Leopard and after about 15 minutes of that blue screen, he was prompted to restart and all his files were wiped. My upgrade to Vista on my gaming machine wasn't even that devastating. I'll definitely be backing up my macbook before I upgrade.

CEMENT. heh. Can't say I hate Windows quite that much. It generally works, it's just not as good. Not as polished. @drew, sorry to hear about your bro, man. Backups are always a good idea, that IS one of the major features of Leopard... I wonder how many people say, "After I get Leopard, then I will backup." @Amber: what about u, got your Leopard on?

Wow... the anti-MS squads are at it again. I too just upgraded to leopard and ran into a couple of interesting problems myself, though nothing as drew's brother. OK... now for the <rant> I have to say that it's amazing to me how much guff people give MS. Considering that over 80% of computer users (and I don't mean servers here folks) boot up Windows every day... If it was _that bad_ or if there was an alternative that was _so much better_ don't you think we'd move away from MS technologies?</rant> It's still a funny clip, and it does make me laugh. Apple in Canada is taking the lead from MS with regards to phone support... I waited on hold for 90 minutes last week only to be told that there was nothing they could do for me because it's a physical issue with the machine and I'd have to see an 'Authorized Support Centre'... Which in Vancouver means anyone except Apple themselves. Apparenty we won't be important enough for an Apple Store until the 2010 Olympics get here. :P

I've been using vista since it has been released and it still hasn't crashed.... Maybe I'm lucky? And I'm sure the new Mac os is JUST as bloated as Vista, if not more.

Oh yoy WinDOZE* I read yesterday MicroPOOP had a Record Q1 Profit of $4.29 Billion based on Sales Revenue of $13.76B! Due to Strong Sales of Halo + Vista + other Crap they Monopolize* But Corporations keep Buying into it just like they did over 20 Years ago + sadly the Users who actually have to USE stoopid WinCRAP are the ones who Suffer* Thank God for Google + Firefox + all the other Innovative Small Web2.0 Co.'s who have Freed us all from the Shackles of MicroSH!T* ;)) Now fer my RANT!!

I have Vista on my desktop, SP on my Laptop and Mac OS 10.4 on my home and have just as many issues with the Mac as with older versions of Windows software. Vista has yet to cause a problem -- running autocad products, office software, photoshop, etc on all the PCs and on the Mac -- just office and photoshop....give me my Windows software anytime. I have owned MACs since 1983 or 84 and PCs since 88...In the early days, Mac excelled in every way...today, well, I'll keep the PCs and the MAC gets less and less use. As well, Apple is no gem at providing customer support; I find little difference between the two companies.

Having used OS X and Vista, OS X rocks and Vista is a bloated bag of doggie poop. Don't like anything about it. It is not horrible, but it is not good. OS X is simply a better user experience.

Lol. Funny, but ENTIRELY wrong. I haven't had ANY trouble with Vista, and i like it way more than XP or previous. (macs suck sweaty monkey balls).
